We need new bridge not fireworks display

ANOTHER feeble excuse to terrify animals and bring back memories of the blitz over Barrow, when our council tax was used to pay in part for fireworks to ‘celebrate’ the 100th birthday of the Jubilee Bridge.

A second crossing is what we need – not memories of how old the single route to and from Walney is!

One task well carried out though was the provision of toilets near the Walney end of the bridge near to the Ferry Hotel.

Why not keep them and put them around the town for a while?
