A BOY has been left distraught after his puppy went missing from his back yard.
Heartbroken Bradley Smith is desperate to find 10-week-old pup, Flick.
Ten-year-old Bradley, who has Asperger syndrome, has been putting up posters in a bid for someone to give him information about the whereabouts of the husky cross, who is black with white markings.
Flick disappeared on Tuesday morning from the back yard of Bradley’s home in Plymouth Street, Walney.
She was put in the yard at about 8.30am and just 10 minutes later she was gone. The family don’t know if she got out or was taken.
Bradley’s mum, Claire Smith, said they were desperate to know that Flick was well, and were fearful for her in the sub-zero temperatures.
Miss Smith, 27, is also very worried about her son and can’t understand why Flick has not returned.
She said: “My son is absolutely distraught about the puppy. He is in bits. He can’t understand why she has gone.
“She is only 10 weeks old. I want to know she is safe and well, that would be a big help. It has been so cold out, that is the worry.
“Someone must have seen her.”
The family has contacted the police and the kennels. They have also put an appeal on Facebook.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miss Smith on 07547 896564.
